Bunny

Obraz
In week three I finished a bunny in 3D.      I started by gathering references from each side of view. Fig 1. Fig 2.     I started with inserting a Cube3D and I sculpted the overall shape of the torso. Then I added a new sub tool and after turning on the symmetry I sculpted the head. I repeated the same process with its tail and legs. I mirrored the eyes and legs of the rabbit, so they could be the same. In summary, I divided the geometry around 5 times. Later I merged all sub tools and I Dynameshed the mesh to smooth it out. After that, I added a texture of fur by changing the alpha of my DamStandard brush to Alpha 60. In the end, I changed the material to MatCapWhite01 and I created a few renders and a turntable.      I think I need to work on proportions and figure out how to position its front legs because they look unnatural in the fur.  Brushes I used: Clay, DamStandard, Move, Smooth, SnakeHook, sPolish, Standa...

Creating a skull in ZBrush

Obraz
My weekly task for this week is to model a skull in ZBrush (Pixologic, 2020) to introduce me to the software.       The first time I opened this sculpting tool I was very confused. Even after instructions, I could not understand everything properly, but the more I used it the more I understood.      Before I started sculpting I gathered two pictures as a reference: Fig 1.      Fig 2.     Here are all the steps that I have taken: Firstly, I hid the lightbox using a shortcut ",". After that, I found the Toolbar and I chose a 3D mesh, which was a Cube3D. Then I pulled the cube to the middle part of the screen and I pressed "Shift" to make it straight. Later I pressed "T" to change the mode to "Edit" and I made PolyMesh3D. This allowed me to sculpt it with the help of my graphic tablet and stylus. I changed the material to "MatCap Skeletor" and I started modelling. I used the brush that was already s...

3D model of vehicle

Obraz
My first activity this academic year was creating a 3D vehicle. I decided to model a car - Audi RSQ from 2004.      Here are all the blueprints that I have gathered:      Fig 1.     In the beginning, g etting back to the Autodesk Maya (2020) was not the easiest as I struggled with remembering all the basic tools and options, but after about an hour I felt like I am ready to go.      I started with putting up every blueprint of the Audi that I had, so I could model it with better precision. Then I made my grid much, much bigger. Thanks to that I was able to create a more realistic sized object. After that, I generated a polygonal plane which I cut comparing it to the side picture using a multi-cut tool. I extruded the plane and I kept creating multi-cut loops to model the perfect shape. I kept measuring the differences between my piece and blueprints to eventually eliminate them. The tools that I used the m...
