Base Mesh Creation Pt. 3

Obraz
In this week I was supposed to create clothes for my character including a shirt/jacket, pants, footwear and additional accessories.  I started by adding my references to every point of view in Maya (Autodesk, 2020). Then, I counted how many layers I need for my character. It turned out that it was 5 as shown below. To create clothes I selected faces on the body of my model, duplicated it, extruded and then I adjusted it to the references. I tried to avoid making too thick material, so it looked natural. I also fixed feet, so they look more proportional now.  Cloth 1 Cloth 1 side Cloth 1 back Cloth 2 Cloth 2 side Cloth 2 crashed faces Cloth 2 back The cape The coat The coat's side Shoes Shoes side I have noticed that there are some crashes on my geometry, I am aiming to fix them the next time I will be modelling.  I was surprised to find out that if I had my camera far from the model it was crashing somehow, however, whenever I zoomed in it looked normal, so I think...

Base Mesh Creation Pt.2

Obraz
In week 5 I had to create the head of my character, which would include: eyes, eyelids, nose, lips and ears. To do this I drew a more detailed version of my previous design: I began with creating an eyeball from a polygon sphere and turning on the live surface in Maya (Autodesk, 2020) on it. Then, with the help of Quad Draw, I drew a few points that would form an eyelid. I kept doing it until I made half of a face without a mouth. After this, I mostly extruded faces using my references.  When I finished with half of the face I duplicated it and connected both parts to make symmetry. Later I customised the rest of the face in the side view to my references.  Following that, I used the " Bridge " option to model the shape of the head. When I filled every remaining hole I extruded the neck and I merged it with the body of my character. In the end, I formed ears starting with the plane. It was the most challenging part of this task. It turned out like this: Low Poly High Pol...
